THE GARDENs

We harvest all our produce on Friday and Saturday.  You can find a variety of seasonal, fresh, clean goodies at @ The Market. If you would like to preorder for Wednesday - Saturday pick-up, please call The Market 830.238.3737 to place your order.

The Market offers hydroponically-grown lettuce and herbs from Mikey's Garden, also located in Hunt, Texas.

Greenhouse Planting

All of our crops we start from seed in the greenhouse when applicable.  We continually seed for successive planting throughout the seasons.  Greenhouse production of flowers and greens is continual throughout the year. 

Spring Crops:

  • Melons

  • Peppers

  • Eggplant

  • Tomatoes

Many of our crops can be planted directly in-ground.  Again, successive planting is used to maintain production throughout the season. We have planted the following:

Summer Crops - Direct Seeding

  • Onions (1015, red) - harvest in early June

  • Potatoes (red, yellow, white) - harvest in late early June

  • Pumpkins (seed in July, harvest in October through November)

  • Green Beans - harvest in early June

  • Squash - harvest in June

  • Cucumbers - harvest in June

Summer Crops - transplants

  • Tomatoes - harvest in June

  • Peppers - harvest in June

  • Eggplant - harvest in June

  • Melons - harvest in June

Fall Crops - Direct Seeding

  • Radishes - harvest in early May

  • Carrots - harvest in May

  • Beets - harvest in May

  • Swiss Chard - harvest in May

  • Kale - harvest in May
