THE GARDEN

We harvest all our produce daily.  You can find a variety of seasonal goodies at @ The Market.

Currently Available Produce:

Freeze Update: It did freeze in Hunt the last few nights!  As to be expected we lost all of our remaining summer crops.  We did harvest all produce prior to the freeze, so we have the following crops left from summer:

  • Tomatoes (grape)
  • Green Tomatoes (medium and grape)
  • Peppers
  • Eggplant
  • Squash
  • Zucchinni
  • Cucumbers (Armenian)
  • Green Beans
  • Pumpkins (variety of sizes and colors)
  • Ornamental Indian Painted Corn

Our winter crops are doing well and survived the first freeze of the year!  We have the following:

  • Onions (yellow and white)
  • Radishes
  • Turnip Greens
  • Kale
  • Swiss Chard
  • Thyme
  • Marjoram

Up and Coming:

Our winter transplants and seedlings are doing well and growing strong!  We will have the following crops soon:

  • Broccoli

  • Beets (red and blonde)

Bridget's Basket offers hydroponically-grown lettuce and herbs from Mikey's Garden, also located in Hunt, Texas.

Greenhouse Planting

All of our crops we start from seed in the greenhouse when possible.  We continually seed for successive planting throughout the seasons.  Greenhouse production of flowers and greens is continual throughout the year.

Summer Crops:

Many of our crops can be planted directly in-ground as well.  Again, successive planting is used to maintain production throughout the season.
