Betty

You may be confused as to why our Crowded Table blog is portrayed by the image of Betty, (which thanks to Georgia Carter is always present above our fireplace in the restaurant) who was our faithful “welcomer” at Bridget’s Basket and loved family companion for many years.

Well, this image represents the perfect day in the life of the Symm family.  Betty is watching all “her” boys as they fish upstream and I am happily reading a book on the rock behind her.  We left the river that day and enjoyed a nice dinner together (as we do most days, albeit later some days than others depending upon the season) and talked about the joy  found in “fishing” not “catching"…actually Bill tried to convince the boys of that joy, but they weren’t really having it!

Nonetheless, it seemed fitting to begin here…with the perfect day.
